Cookie Policy

Last updated: October 1, 2026

The cookies and browser storage our websites use, and how to control them.

1. Introduction#

This Cookie Policy explains how Virteche (“we”, “us”, or “our”) uses cookies and similar tracking technologies when you visit virteche.com or use our client portal. It describes what these technologies are, why we use them, and the choices you have to control their use.

This policy should be read alongside our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

This policy describes only cookies, similar browser technologies, and the website analytics built on them. It does not describe the infrastructure-level data we collect when you use Virteche Cloud servers. Network flow metadata — which does include IP addresses — is collected separately at our network infrastructure and is described in Section 2 of our Privacy Policy and Section 7 of our Terms of Service. Statements in this policy about IP addresses not being retained apply to cookie-based website analytics only.

2. What Are Cookies?#

Cookies are small text files placed on your device (computer, tablet, or phone) when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work more efficiently, to remember your preferences, and to provide analytics information to site owners.

In addition to cookies, we may use similar technologies such as:

  • Local storage — stores data in your browser beyond a single session.
  • Session storage — temporary storage cleared when you close your browser tab.
  • Pixel tags / web beacons — tiny invisible images used to measure email open rates and page visits.

4. Data Collected via Cookies#

Depending on the cookie categories you have accepted, the following data may be collected and stored on our servers:

  • Anonymous visitor identifier and visit identifier
  • Pages visited within our sites
  • The referring site and the kind of site it is (search engine, AI assistant, social network, other link)
  • Device type (desktop, mobile, tablet) and browser name
  • Campaign tags on the link you arrived from (source, medium, campaign)
  • Steps such as viewing prices, opening an order form, starting checkout and creating an account
  • If you sign in, which account the visits belong to, so we can tell which channels lead to customers

We do not collect financial data, full IP addresses, or any sensitive personal data via cookies. Payment data is processed exclusively by our payment processors (Stripe and PayPal) under their own privacy frameworks. This statement is about cookies and website analytics; it does not describe our infrastructure, where network flow metadata including IP addresses is collected as described in Section 2 of our Privacy Policy.

5. Third-Party Cookies#

We do not currently embed third-party advertising scripts or social media tracking pixels on our website. The analytics described above run on our own servers.

Our network provider, Cloudflare, also measures page loads and site speed for us (Cloudflare Web Analytics). It sets no cookies and does not identify individual visitors, and it is not affected by the choices on this page.

Our payment pages interact with Stripe and PayPal hosted forms. These providers may set their own cookies during payment processing, subject to their respective privacy and cookie policies:

7. Your Choices and Controls#

You have several ways to manage cookies and tracking preferences:

  • Consent panel — when you first visit our site, you can accept or decline individual cookie categories. Logged-in users can update preferences at any time from Billing → Notifications.
  • Browser controls — most browsers allow you to view, block, or delete cookies through their settings. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent you from logging in or using core features.

8. Data Retention#

Analytics events are kept for 13 months. After that, each month is reduced to totals that identify no one (page views, visits and their sources) and the events are deleted. An anonymous visitor profile is deleted once 13 months pass without a visit. Consent records are retained for 5 years for compliance audit purposes. You may request deletion at any time (see Section 9).

9. Your Rights#

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you collected via cookies.
  • Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion of your cookie-collected data (right to erasure).
  • Withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior processing.
  • Lodge a complaint with a relevant supervisory authority.

To exercise these rights, contact us at [email protected].

10. Changes to This Policy#

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in technology, law, or our business practices. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you by email or via a notice in your client portal.
