Windows Server needs a licence. You have two choices, and the order form walks you through them.
Windows Server 2025, 2022 and 2019. You choose the version when you order, and the server is built with it automatically.
No. On plans that offer it, you can add a Windows Server licence at checkout for a monthly fee, shown in the table above. You can also bring your own licence on any plan, if it is a kind that may be used on shared hosting.
Microsoft allows a Windows Server licence on shared hosting only if it has active Software Assurance or is a subscription licence. OEM and retail licences, and volume licences without Software Assurance, cannot be used on a VPS. The order form asks you to confirm this.
With Remote Desktop, as Administrator, using the password you set when ordering. The browser console on the server's page in your dashboard shows the screen directly, so it works even if Remote Desktop does not.
Windows Server itself uses about 2 GB. Add what your applications need; Task Manager shows actual use after a day of normal work, and you can move to a larger plan from the dashboard.
Yes. The free firewall on the server's page lets you allow Remote Desktop only from your own addresses. It runs on the host, so blocked traffic never reaches the server, and it warns you before you save rules that would cut off your own access.
