S3 API · United States (West) · Flat monthly price
Virteche object storage speaks the S3 API, so tools set up for Backblaze B2, Wasabi or Amazon S3 work with it once you change the endpoint, keys and region. Each plan is a flat monthly price with transfer included and no per-request fees, stored in the United States (West).
The plan size is shared across your buckets. Order on the object storage page.
These are the only settings that differ from Amazon S3, Backblaze B2 or Wasabi. Your access key and secret are in the dashboard.
The S3 API
Buckets and access keys for the AWS CLI and SDKs, rclone, restic, Kopia and other S3 tools.
Flat monthly price
No per-request, download or retrieval fees. Transfer equal to the plan size is included.
Pre-signed links
Share one object for a limited time without making anything public.
Several buckets
Split backups and apps into separate buckets that share the plan's space.
Checksummed drives
Mirrored drives with checksums that detect and repair silent corruption.
Grow any time
Move to a larger size from the dashboard; buckets and keys stay the same.

Add Virteche as an rclone remote
Keep the remote you already have for your current provider, and add one for Virteche:
rclone config create virteche s3 provider Other endpoint https://s3.us-west.virteche.com region us-west \

rclone copy old:my-bucket virteche:my-bucket --progress
rclone check old:my-bucket virteche:my-bucketYour current provider may charge for data read out of it; check before copying a large bucket. The full guide covers each provider's remote settings.
Switch your applications
Yes, if they let you set a custom S3 endpoint, which the AWS CLI and SDKs, rclone, restic, Kopia, Duplicati, Cyberduck and s3cmd all do. Use the endpoint, region us-west and path-style addressing. Multipart uploads and pre-signed links work as they do on S3.
No. The monthly price includes as many requests as you make and monthly transfer equal to the plan size. Past the transfer allowance, uploads and downloads slow down; nothing extra is billed.
Not yet. Every request needs your access key or a pre-signed link for a single object, so data is private by default.
Not yet. If your backup software needs immutable (locked) storage, as some Veeam setups do, this is not the right fit today. restic and Kopia keep their own snapshot history, so overwriting a file does not lose its older versions.
In one location in the western United States, on mirrored drives with checksums that detect and repair silent corruption. It is not copied to a second region.
